John Paul Stevens, 1920–. Associate Justice, United States Supreme Court, 1975–. Cacheted inauguration day cover boldly signed John Paul Stevens in blue.
This is a nice association item. The cover commemorates the inauguration of President Gerald R. Ford, who appointed Stevens to the Supreme Court. It bears an excellent engraving of Ford and is postmarked Washington, D.C., August 9, 1974, the date Ford became President.
This cover is absolutely pristine. It bears an excellent signature by Stevens.
