James Robert Leavelle, 1920.  Detective, Dallas Police Department.  Printed photograph inscribed and signed, To: Dr. Lindley &  /  "Moments in time"  /  James R. Leavelle.

Leavelle was the Dallas homicide detective who was handcuffed to Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin of President John F. Kennedy, when Oswald was himself shot by Jack Ruby in the basement of the Dallas Police Department on November 24, 1963.  This is the classic photograph of the shooting showing Oswald, Ruby, and Leavelle.  It has been printed on a computer printer above the identifying information.  Leavelle has signed it to a high school history teacher and his class.

Leavelle has signed this photograph in black felt-tipped pen.
