Jonas Salk

Signature of the developer of the polio vaccine

Jonas Edward Salk, 1914–1995.  American physician; developer of the first successful polio vaccine.  Signature, Jonas Salk, on a 3" x 5" white index card.

Salk has signed in felt tip pen that has faded to brown.  The card is toned from prior matting, and there is a lightly toned rectangular line around the signature.  Overall it is in very good to fine condition and would be excellent for reframing.

The card is accompanied by a typed letter dated November 30, 1989, from Salk's assistant sending the autograph.

Unframed.
