George S. Patton, Jr.

George Smith Patton, Jr., 1885-1945.  World War II American general and tank commander known as "Old Blood and Guts."  Map of a portion of the Normandy coast of France, showing the Allied breakout movements in Operation Cobra following the D-Day invasion of June 6, 1944.  The map is on a page that has been removed from a book.  Patton has boldly signed, G S Patton Jr., in blue ink.  His rank is written beside his signature in another hand. Pristine.

Patton's autographic material is scarce.  This piece, related to Patton's role in a vital facet of World War II, is exceptional.  It is double matted in dark green suede and framed  in a black and silver wooden frame with a photograph of General Patton and an engraved silver tone identification plate.
