Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight David Eisenhower, 1890-1969.  General of the Army; Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Force, World War II; 34th President of the United States, 1953-1961. Stunning 11" x 14" black-and-white photograph signed, Dwight D. Eisenhower, as General of the Army.

This very uncommon oversized photograph shows Eisenhower's famous smile as he waves in what appears to be the V-E Day parade in New York City.  The insignia on Eisenhower's shoulder shows his five-star rank as General of the Army. Eisenhower has signed in green ink on the car's diagonal windshield support.

Large format signed photographs of Presidents are not often available.  This is an outstanding, classic image of Eisenhower in the role for which he is best known—the victorious allied Supreme Commander in World War II.

This photo has one minor soiled spot, not touching the signature.  The signature shows some smudging, but it is still bold.  The photograph is matted in light and dark gray and framed with two engraved black plates in a simple black frame.

A History In Ink framed original.
