John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 1917-1963.  35th President of the United States, 1961-1963.  Magnificent 8" x 10" black-and-white photograph of Kennedy inscribed and signed To Dr. Conrad ___  / with best wishes  /  John Kennedy.

This is a stunning and highly desirable piece  It is a half-length, matte finish photo of Kennedy, who is shown applauding. Kennedy has inscribed and signed the photo in black fountain pen.

In 1960, at age 43, Kennedy became the youngest person ever elected president.  The “torch,” he said in his eloquent inaugural address, had been “passed to a new generation of Americans."  He and his beautiful young wife, Jacqueline, brought a new era of style and grace to the White House.  His assassination in 1963 shocked not only the nation, but the world.

Kennedy's genuinely signed photographs are scarce, and as President they are rare, given Kennedy's use of secretaries and the Autopen in the White House.  This photograph is exceptional. It has small creases on the white border in the upper and lower left corners, not affecting the image itself, and overall is in very fine condition.  It would be magnificent framed.
