John F. Kennedy

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 1917-1963.  35th President of the United States, 1961-1963.  Luncheon program boldly signed beneath his photograph, John Kennedy / Mass.

This is a beautiful piece with an excellent association.  It is a 6" x 9" program from a Democratic luncheon at which Kennedy, then a Senator from Massachusetts, spoke in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in 1958.

West Virginia turned out to be a key state for Kennedy in his quest for the presidency two years later.  His victory over Hubert Humphrey in the 1960 West Virginia primary did much to seal his nomination.  He was nominated on the first ballot at the July convention in Los Angeles.

Kennedy's photograph and signature are on the page opposite the inside front cover.  Kennedy has boldly penned superb, dark signature in blue ballpoint.

This is a very fine example that would beautiful in a framed display.  It is an excellent alternative to Kennedy's signed photographs, which sell for tremendous prices.
