Harry S. Truman, 1884-1972. 33rd President of the United States, 1945-1953. Engraved White House vignette inscribed and signed Harry S. Truman / 7-29-60 / signed for Mrs. E. M. Clark / at her request.
This beautiful 6" x 8" vignette is from an engraving that dates to the administration of President Theodore Roosevelt. It shows a horse-drawn carriage in the White House drive and people strolling along the sidewalk. Truman has boldly inscribed and signed it in black fountain pen.
This vignette is in fine condition. Only mounting traces on the back, which do not show through, keep us from grading it very fine. It would be magnificent framed with a portrait of Truman.
