04-044 Thomas A. Edison Henry Ford
Thomas Alva Edison, 1847-1931, and Henry Ford, 1863-1947. Rare photograph boldly signed by both in black with Edison’s trademark umbrella signature, Thos A. Edison, and Henry Ford. This small glossy souvenir photograph, which measures 3˝” x 5˝”, is a vintage print of a photo taken at Edison’s estate in March 1914. It pictures Edison and Ford with naturalist John Burroughs in Ft. Myers, Florida, where both Edison and Ford had winter estates. It likely was signed when both were in Ft. Myers. Signed photographs of Edison are uncommon, as are those of Ford. In some 20 years, we have never seen another photograph genuinely signed by both of them together. _____________ This item has been sold.
